Flabbergast
Formed from an unexpected collaboration for a MUTEK_recrelease, Flabbergast has evolved significantly since its inception. Comprisingof Guillaume Coutu Dumont and Vincent Lemieux, this duo has shifted fromspontaneous live improvisations to focused compositions and an increased presencein recorded music since 2014. Drawing on a wide array of influences includingelectronic music, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary sounds, Flabbergast refuses to beboxed into any single genre. Their diverse expertise allows them to explore andintegrate a variety of musical styles into their work, making each piece uniquelybroad yet coherent. In addition to a steady stream of releases on various labels,Flabbergast launched their own imprint Copier/Coller in 2023. Flabbergast willrelease their first full length album Consolation in Constellation on French labelChapelle XIV in April 2025.
