31th May, you’ll be in Oslo to play at Rooftop party. Have you been in Oslo before or this is you first gig here?
I’ve been in Oslo twice, once with Sr. Coconut and another time with my solo project, I really like the city and I can’t wait to play with Los Refrescos this coming Saturday.

You’re making music for a long time. Do you still jam with enthusiasm? Has techno changed for all this time?
I love making music, specially with good friends and people I like, jamming is one if my favourite things to do, it inspires me and gives me new ideas and approaches to produce new material. Since I’ve been making music techno has been developing all the time, but in general I try to keep a particular sound and not follow trends or tendencies. I consider it’s important to create a personal sound more than following the sound of the music in a determined time.

What music did you grow up? What shaped your musical tastes?
I started as a musician in the 80′s, I’m a bass player and a singer and I have had many different influences during my career, from new wave to funk, from salsa to rock, from classical music to jazz. I like to be open minded in what I listen to, I think development is basic in order to have a rich and fulfilling musical journey, and to be able  to explore different sonorities during all this time.
